Tears of the Sun

Having pointless days doing nothing is quite the norm during the hols rite?rite??? haha. Well that was the case today. Watched tv, slept, watched more tv came online and did everything i could which did not require the use of my FRAGILE brain.

So after dinner, i turned the tele on again just to channel surf. Came across a movie which had just started, Tears of the Sun. Sounded good enough so i decided to watch it and with Bruce Willis as the main dude was an added advantage.

Only when i sat through the show did i realise that i get quite emotional during such movies. It was about the struggle of many African countries against rebel forces; in this case Nigeria. I doubt it was a true story but heck, its as real as it can get.

It depicted what rebels do to villages, the village people and so on. It was horrifying, it really is. They would tie men up and burn them alive, cut the breasts of mothers so they could never feed their young and stuff.

Only at the end of the movie it hit me. The joy of surviving to them means alot more than the struggle of everyday life. And this movie is far from fiction, it happens everyday. In Sudan, Sierra Leone just to name a few

.
I urge you all to watch it =)
